Hello Friends, It's going to be a busy year at Squirrel Point Light with restoration of the Keeper's House starting in June! You're invited to join us as we kick off the season with our annual work day from Saturday, May 30 from 1-3 pm. We'll do the usual sweep-out of the Keeper's House, but mostly focus on grounds work this year to continue pushing back invasives. Please bring cutters, pruners and a ruthless mindset! Water, snacks and perhaps your raincoat, too. There are no restrooms on the property. It's always a fun day in a beautiful setting, with fellow light house lovers. And it's so satisfying to give this evocative historic landmark a little love and attention! Please email [email protected] with any questions and to RSVP. For directions and to learn more visit www.squirrelpoint.org. Thank you, and hope to see you there! At last year's work day, volunteers were rewarded with a view of The Virginia, the reconstruction of the 1607 pinnace heading upriver to Bath.
