Maine Open Lighthouse Day is Saturday and we hope you can stop by for a visit!

This annual statewide event offers the public the rare opportunity to visit more than a dozen historic Maine lights and attracts over 15,000  visitors each year.

Earlier this summer our awesome volunteer work crew tackled a long list of projects and we are ready!

We are looking for a few more volunteers between 10 AM and 3 PM on Saturday to help greet the hundreds of visitors who make the trek.  Whether you can stay for an hour or three, we’d love to see you! Please contact Caroline at [email protected] for details and to sign up.

On Saturday, the keeper’s house and the boat house will be open to the public. The light tower will be closed while plans are made to repair the foundation – more soon.

For more information about the event, sponsored by the American Lighthouse Foundation, the U.S. Coast Guard, and the Maine Office of Tourism, visit https://lighthousefoundation.org/maine-open-lighthouse-day/.
